As part of my work experience, I have been involved in ecological and biological studies of phytoplankton communities from the Romanian Black Sea waters. This has included fieldwork activities such as sampling and microscopic identification of phytoplankton species, as well as processing and managing phytoplankton data. I have worked as a team member in both national and international research projects, contributing to the evaluation of pelagic habitats in the marine environment, in alignment with the Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD), specifically Descriptor 1 (Biodiversity: Pelagic Habitats) and Descriptor 5 (Eutrophication). My role has also involved the isolation and maintenance of marine microalgae species in laboratory cultures, planning and conducting toxicity tests under controlled laboratory conditions, and writing scientific studies and reports for the publication of research results.
