I service as the Africa Region and Nigerian Coordinator for the UNESCO-IOC Blue School Global Network, where I leads regional efforts to advance ocean literacy and sustainable development across African countries. As a Development Economist and ocean literacy specialist, my works at interface science communication, education, and community engagement, supporting governments, schools, NGOs, institutions, women and youth to integrate ocean and climate knowledge into learning systems.
I have extensive experience in Blue Economy, development, sustainable aquaculture, environmental education, and led community-based climate resilience projects. I also service as adjoint lecturer at the Institute of Distance Learning, University of Lagos, I train educators’ students, blue economy entrepreneurs, coordinated projects, and developed learning resources that empower teachers and students to become ocean stewards and climate innovators. My work contributes directly to SDG 14, and 17 regional Blue Economy priorities, and IOC-UNESCO’s commitment to strengthening ocean literacy through education and knowledge systems
