Activities
During my undergraduate and master's research, I conducted field sampling in coastal areas of the southern and southeastern Brazilian continental shelf (Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and Rio Grande do Sul), collecting phytoplankton samples for taxonomic classification of the community. My work focused on functional traits of marine phytoplankton and trophic strategies, with an emphasis on correlating the abundance of mixotrophic species with environmental characteristics and variations. I applied the fluorochrome-labeled food vacuole method to detect phagocytosis in mixotrophic organisms.

Skills
Oceanographer with experience in planning and conducting field sampling of biological samplings and environmental parameters, taxonomic identification of marine phytoplankton using optical and epifluorescence microscopy, and flow cytometry. Skilled in data processing through exploratory analysis and multivariate statistics in R, as well as GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS), correlating the functional diversity of phytoplankton communities with environmental parameters.
