Activities
Contributor to the Reef Restoration and Adaptation Program (RRAP) team dedicated to safeguarding, restoring and fortifying coral reefs in the Great Barrier Reef (GBR).

Developed a decision support tool integrating non-cyclonic wave climates obtained from numerical modeling in the GBR and thresholds developed by PhD students. This tool calculates probabilities of coral breakage and rubble mobilization, identifying optimal locations for targeted reef restoration interventions in the GBR.

Wave and hydrodynamic modeling (XBeach) to predict cyclonic waves and everyday maximum wave patterns in the GBR. Integrated the rubble mobilization and breaking thresholds to assess the vulnerability of reefs within the GBR under this wave climates.

Estimate future wave climates to determine peak velocities for upcoming interventions aimed at enhancing reef resilience, providing crucial data for strategic planning and effective reef management.
