- actively involved
as a focal point in the Advisory Group on the Conservation of Biological
Diversity of the Black Sea Commission since 2009. 

- involvement in the implementation of the Marine Strategy Framework Directive in Romania, specifically
overseeing Descriptor 1 – Biodiversity in relation to pelagic habitats. 

- collaborates extensively with competent authorities in both Romania and
Bulgaria on projects related to the Water
Framework Directive (WFD) and
the Marine Strategy Framework Directive
(MSFD). 

- coordinator of two
significant projects:  MISIS - MSFD
Guiding Improvements in the Black Sea Integrated Monitoring System (funded by
DG Environment) and ANEMONE - Assessing the vulnerability of the Black
Sea marine ecosystem to human pressures (funded under the Black Sea Cross-Border Cooperation (BS-CBC) program).
