Activities
I am interested in the impacts of climate change on the ocean and vice versa, who the ocean buffers and controls the climate. My main focus is on the carbon cycle and the flux of carbon between the atmosphere, oceans and sediments. I am also interested in intermediate, deep and bottom water formation in the Southern Ocean. I have worked primarily in the Southwest Pacific in the Tasman and Coral Seas, as well as the Southern Ocean and South Pacific gyre. My work involves collecting data using large research vessels and I have been on 13 voyages over the last 20 years.
