Mr Abdul Andre MUGABE
Project Manager
Conservacao Marinha
Professional Summary:
As a Project Manager at the Marine Megafauna Foundation, I am dedicated to ensuring compliance with regulations and project guidelines. My current focus lies in investigating the factors contributing to the disappearance of seagrass in the Inhassoro district, with initial hypotheses pointing towards climate changes, sea level rises, sedimentation, and the intricate interactions between humans and coastal areas. Understanding the impacts of these processes on diverse coastal ecosystems is imperative in the fields of Oceanography and other Ocean Sciences, particularly for comprehending modifications in sea levels, and despairing of some ecosystems alongside the coast.
Key Responsibilities:
In my role, I actively engage with governmental institutes, NGOs, and local authorities in Inhambane, Mozambique. I play a pivotal role in the implementation of monitoring plans and project evaluations, overseeing meticulous data collection and verification processes. Collaborating closely with the Unit of Administration of Project Reports, I ensure administrative facets align with compliance standards.
Contribution to Strategy and Policy:
Reflecting on lessons learned, I contribute insights to inform and refine project strategy, with a particular emphasis on adherence to MMF's policies on Safeguarding of Children and Youth, Gender Equality, and Inclusion. My role extends to participating in national advocacy campaigns and supporting the development of child protection guidelines.
Ethical Implementation:
My efforts in compliance and enforcement contribute significantly to the ethical and effective execution of projects. By prioritizing adherence to standards and regulations, I ensure that our initiatives align with both ethical considerations and the broader mission of the Marine Megafauna Foundation.
