My research is focused
on the calcification of secondary calcifiers such as coralline algae,
bryozoans, polychaetes, mollusks, and barnacles in coral reef ecosystems in the Mexican Pacific Ocean and their
variation between seasons, years, habitats and microhabitats, as well as, the
monitoring of environmental variables such as pH, pCO2, saturation
of carbonates, chlorophyll a, and temperature.
