Activities
My research activities are in phytoplankton ecology, physical-biological interactions and marine bio-optics. In this last topic, my studies in marine bio-optics have been dedicated to the use of ocean colour remote sensors to evaluate phytoplankton variability in the ocean and also algorithm development for the remote sensing of optically complex coastal waters.
I am also a professor giving lectures to undergraduate students from the Oceanography program (courses Biological Oceanography and Oceanography of Mexican Waters) and from the MSc and PhD program in Coastal Oceanography (http://fcm.ens.uabc.mx/posgrado/oceanografia-costera.php) with lectures in Biological Oceanography, Phytoplankton Ecology and Marine Bio-Optics.
