  • Support the Marine Sciences Manager in the execution of all marine
    science operations and maintenance activities.
  • Support
    all related data acquisition processes.
  • Support all data-related processing and analysis activities.
  • Prepare
    scientific documents, presentations, standing orders, etc.
  • Actively
    be involved in the operation, repair, and maintenance of electronic equipment/sensors at the coastal tide gauge and meteorology stations.
  • Maintain
    the specified security requirements of all digital data sets,
    electronic work platforms, and IT interfaces.

  • Carry out any other administrative and professionally allocated tasks related to marine sciences in the most professional manner possible.
  • Promote, implement, and administer safe working practices within the field survey team when
    visiting National Tide Guage Network sites.
Skills
  • experience
    in oceanographic data acquisition, processing, and analysis methods.
  • Familiar
    with oceanographic instrumentation especially with tides, ADCPs, and meteorology
    equipment/sensors.
  • Sound
    organizational/interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience
    in computer programming (using languages such as Matlab).
  • The ability to work well
    both in a team and alone
  • Open to new and/or
    alternative ideas and concepts in support of the marine sciences disciplines
  • Excellent
    communication skills in Arabic/English, both written and verbal, for working
    with teams and reporting findings.
