Activities
Currently work in marine
forecasting R&D, consultancy and metocean. I
am in the fortunate position of understanding the fundamental science and exposure
to its application in products and services that support customer and
stakeholder needs. I contribute to the marine forecast capability development including investigating the improvement of marine forecast accuracy techniques for significant wave height in the UK shelf sea.
Research interests include: ocean climate (ocean heat and carbon uptake, ocean circulation,
ocean-atmosphere-ice interactions) and how this impacts ocean users,
stakeholders and the wider public. For example through impacts on meteorology,
sea level rise and global warming.
Experienced communicator ranging from literature reviews, technical summaries, posters and presentations. This includes distilling information that is impactful and useful for non-technical audiences.
