Skills
Hi I am a hydrobiologist by training, since 2016, I started my professional internship at the Institute of Fisheries and Oceanological Research of Benin where I put my theoretical knowledge into practice. During
this internship, I worked with fishermen on statistical data from 2012 to 2017
at the artisanal fishing port of cotonou. I got to know more the diversity of
marine species and I discovered the importance of their protection against
illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing. I also participated in the process
of setting up Marine protected areas with the integration of stakeholders in
the marine environment. I also participated during this internship in
topographic surveys for the fortnightly monitoring of coastal erosion but also
in campaigns to collect hydrodynamic parameters on the Beninese coasts. I was
also involved in data processing and writing campaign reports. I do daily
marine forecast of the state of the ocean. I was heavily involved in the
performance testing of local feed for aquaculture. I followed the training on
the design and programming of the Arduino embedded system that can take
temperature and salinity in the ocean.
