Activities
Roberta’s research focuses on the
environmental and anthropogenic variables that influence the spatial extent and
temporal evolution of contaminants transport and accumulation in the coastal
ocean and ocean margins. Current research projects converge on how ocean carbon
cycle can be influenced by climate change in deep sea and continental shelves
in the Mediterranean and the North East Atlantic. Since 2016, she has been
leading the Working Group on ‘Ocean, climate change and acidification’ within
the EU COST Action CA 15217 Ocean Governance for Sustainability (https://www.oceangov.eu/).
