Since 2012 I am part of the CO2 group
of Servicio de Hidrografía Naval (SHN), first as a student and now as a research assistant. During this period I
completed my grade thesis on the subject of sea-air CO2 fluxes
and the PhD thesis in the study of the carbon system in the South- Western
Atlantic Ocean. The PhD thesis included the data analysis of pCO2,
alkalinity (TA) and dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC), and parameters derived
from them (pH, Revelle factor, aragonite and calcite saturation states), and
also estimated the anthropogenic carbon with 2 methods of the literature.
I
participated in 4 oceanographic cruises, mainly working on taking samples and
later measuring TA and DIC. I have presented works related to the subject in
different national and international scientific meetings and I’m first author
of an article published in Continental Shelf Research.
I
work in the area of physical oceanography and marine biogeochemistry, studying
in particular the carbon system in the South-Western Atlantic Ocean, with
interest in ocean acidification.
