Currently I develop my PhD project in ecology of
mussel Mytilus galloprovincialis, evaluating fecundity and larval dispersion
related to oceanographic characteristics of the Portuguese coast. Previously, I
have developed projects related to utilization of fish waste from processing industry,
focusing on the analysis of the composition of amino acid and fatty acids, also
I participated on the monitoring and analysis of phycotoxins in mussels and in a project about carotenoids from algae focusing the application in aquaculture. Then, during the MSc Degree I studied animal nutrition, through the evaluation
of the feed shrimps digestibility. Also, I was technical advisor in sustainable
development of fishing and aquaculture, at the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture,
in Brazil, for almost 5 years. And had worked at Brazilian Navy, with physical oceanographic data.
