• Take the lead in the joint conduct of fisheries
  surveillance operations
• Together with the Head of Management Team and
  Head of Operations, plan activities for the effective management of the
  Joint Maritime Committee
• Supervise the 24/7 hour watch at the Ministry of
  Fisheries and Marine Resources and the Joint Operations Center.
• Assist in the assignment of Fisheries Observers
  onboard industrial fishing vessels
• Take the lead in conducting pre-licenses
  inspection for industrial fishing vessels
• Represent the Joint Maritime Committee in
  meetings, seminars etc both nationally and internationally.
• Perform other duties designated by a superior
  official.

  Supervise the
  collection of fisheries data and carry out analysis of the data

• 
  Monitoring fishing
  activities in the area of location and within adjacent marine protected areas
  by industrial fishing vessels as well as artisanal fishing canoes
