I am a social scientist specialising on environmental and marine sociology and natural resource management, with focus on capacity building.
Before joining UNOOSA, I conducted research on governance of small scale agriculture (Scotland) and worked on fisheries co-management in Japan, funded my the MEXT Scholarship. I received my PhD in Sociology with focus on marine issues from the University of the Aegean, Greece, preceded by an MSc in Environmental Sustainability (University of Edinburgh, Scotland) and a BA (Hons) in International and European Economic Studies (Athens University of Economics and Business, Athens).
Currently, having successfully undertaken the UN Young Professional Programme examination, I am working on capacity building through the use of space technologies.
