Activities
My work concentrates on epifauna (organisms living on the marine bottom or directly above the sediment). Taxonomically the main focus is marine isopods, especially the typical deep-sea taxa from the abyssal plains from recent expeditions. I am planning and supporting expeditions with german research vessels, coordinating the sorting of samples and provide material on request fixed for genetic and morphological studies.
