I'm chief of communications and public affairs at the World Meteorological Organization, where I started working in May 2019, after two years in the equivalent role at the UN Conference on Trade and Development. 

Coming to WMO is partly a return to my roots, because I worked previously at the UN Office for Disaster Risk Reduction, dedicated to helping countries and communities lower risk and raise resilience in the face of natural and human-induced hazards.

Before joining the UN family in 2014, I spent 15 years at the global newswires Agence France-Presse and The Associated Press, in a range of reporting and editorial roles. Previously, I was a radio journalist. Prior to my career in the media, I was a lecturer and researcher in the British and Polish academic sectors, before moving into the international communications and outreach section of the University of Warwick.

I'm passionate about the challenging issues faced by our world, whether in the field of of health, development, human rights, justice, trade, technology or the environment.
