Activities
I concentrate on lower invertebrates, especially animals of the meiofauna, and I use electron microscopy and fluorescence microscopy to study their functional morphology. I apply characters discerned through these microscopies to phylogenetics and systematics. Current emphasis is on systematics of the Acoela. Research has also applied to other turbellarians, Gastrotricha, Gnathostomulida, Nematoda, Annelida, Rotifera, and Cnidaria.
