Hydrophylic marine biotoxins extraction and purification from bivalves and phytoplankton samples; Domoic acid determination by HPLC-UV; PSP toxins determination by HPLC-FLD; Phytoplankton density (direct count or by Coulter counter results); Biometry (length and weight) of: fish eggs, adults and larvae, crustacean larvae, bivalves adults and larvae, rotifers, and Artemia nauplii; Egg quality evaluation by isolation and incubation in EIA plates; Double staining of bones and cartilages (alcian blue and alizarin red) of fish larvae; Microbial analysis: DAPI staining and plate count methods; Lipid analysis: extraction, preparation and purification of FAME, gas-liquid chromatography, estimation of lipid classes by HPTLC; Heat Shock Proteins 60 and 70 analysis by western blot; Carbohydrates and acid stable metabolites analysis; Histological preparations of tissues and double staining with Haematoxiline-Eosine.
