I'm the head of the Marine Environment Protection Departament in charge of the implementation of the national legal framework as well as the international conventions regarding this matter in order to prevent marine pollution. This Department is responsible of the regulation of all marine activities development in territorial waters and also to coordinate the National Contingency Plan in the event of oil spills. We create and certifie policies directed to the development of marine projects in a sustainable way. We also promote the ratification process of international conventions. We execute the national beach clean up program and different interinstitutional cooperation agreements.
