The conventional methods for harvesting the oceans - fishing and collecting - are no longer adequate. Increasinlgy often, technologies are used that are inaccessible to most people such as GPS to track schools of fish and trawl nets.

marinecultures.org supports coastal communities in the development and use of alternative harvesting methods that respect and safeguard the balance of the ecosystem.

Our focus is on the exploration, development, and operation of environmentally sound aquacultures, marine conservation and sustainable resource management.We closely involve the local population in each step of our activities and provide training as well as sales support.
