Instituto Hidrográfico Lisboa

The Instituto Hidrográfico is a Portuguese Navy institution which belongs to the National Network of Research Laboratories (in charge of Research and Development activities in the Ocean). It operates in the areas of Safety of Navigation, Hydrography, Nautical Cartography and Physical, Chemical and Geological Oceanography as well as Ocean Data Management.
The institution co-hosts the Portuguese NODC with the Portuguese Institute for the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA)
