The International Tsunameter Partnership (ITP) was established as a sub-group within Working Group 2 (Sea Level Measurement, Data Collection and Exchange) of the Intergovernmental Coordination Group for the Indian Ocean Tsunami Warning and Mitigation System (IGC/IOTWS). Its purpose is to support the establishment, effectiveness and on-going viability and enhancement of tsunami detection and warning systems using deep ocean monitoring stations (tsunameters). The 5th meeting of the ITP will be held in Paris in conjunction with the 25th meeting of the Data Buoy Cooperation Panel (DBCP), which is a component of the Joint WMO-IOC Technical Commission for Oceanography and Marine Meteorology (JCOMM). The DBCP meeting will run from 28 Sep to 1 Oct. ITP meeting participants are invited to participate in the DBCP meeting, including the DBCP Scientific and Technical Workshop, which this year includes Tsunami Observations as one of its topics of interest. The meeting will be held in Room B6.19 (6th floor) of the UNESCO Miollis building, with the security entrance of Miollis Street.
