Second GOOS National Focal Point Forum (virtual)
Summary
The second ‘all hands-on deck’ virtual meeting for the GOOS National Focal Points (NFPs) will take place on the 24th of October. The meeting provides an opportunity to interact with GOOS and other NFPs, discuss the progress of the past year and engage in focused discussions.
Meeting objectives:
- Review the past year's progress in communication and support between GOOS National Focal Points (NFPs) and the GOOS Office, as well as interactions amongNFPs;
- Discuss best practices for national coordination mechanisms in ocean observation;
- Discuss enhancing connections between GOOS NFPs and the GOOS Regional Alliances;
- Define next steps to strengthen the NFP role and outline a clear path forward.
